In the forging process, die changing is always a critical moment because it involves a machine stop from 40 minutes up to 3 hours.

Farina Presse
have designed and now apply to their presses - and to all types of presses
on the market - a new die changing system making the changing step extremely
rapid: technically, the change takes place in 5 minutes.
This extreme speed allows to limit the idle time to a total time ranging
between 15 and 30 minutes.
The die changing system is a combined one - mechanic and hydraulic - and is
managed by the PLC .
